I pass the church every day going to work in Glasgow and have always admired it. I have recently noted the well and my curiosity got the better of me and hence my visit to your site.

Greetings from Melbourne, Australia.
I attended the Church from a wee girl in Mr. Ramsay's
day, then progressed through to membership in 1941.
Was a choir member and Sunday School teacher.
Left for Australia in 1951 and when home in 1956
my first-born child (Jean) was baptized in the Church.
It has played a big part in my life.
Best wishes to congregation, Minister and Office-bearers.

I found the site and the comments very interesting.

My Grandparents Robert Easton and his wife are buried in the graveyard. also my grandfather John McSpadyen is also buried there, we think in a unmarked grave in the old part of the cemetery he died in 1933

Any help in locating his lair would be appreciated.

Regards

I was amazed to see your beautifully refurbished Kirk. My Mother Mabel Marshall Dalgleish Allison, born 1910 at Craighead farm, attended there as a child. She imigrated to Canada in 1930 and died in 2001 at 91. She would have been delighted to see the Kirk O' Shotts now.

Love the site and have an endearing love for Kirk O' Shotts, any news and updates about the kirk and indeed Salsburgh are treasured, as are my memories of the place I grew up. Keep up the good work

A significant and historic building not merely saved but enhanced. Well done! A great blessing and encouragement for many far beyond Salsburgh.

I am delighted to be a member in our newly refurbished kirk, why don't you all come along and see for yourself on one of our open days.
